Maria Navarro

Welcome to 3rd grade! 

Hi! I am a 3rd grade teacher at LRA.

 I attended Cal State L.A, where I received my Bachelors, teaching credentials and Masters degree.

I've been working for LAUSD for 28 years (teacher assistant and teacher experienced combined).

I can't wait to meet your and start our learning adventure. 

I am the mother to two boys, Alonso and Eduardo and a dog named Enzo.  

I enjoy reading! One of favorite things to do is discover new books and meet new characters. We will do lots of reading in our classroom via read alouds and during Readers' Workshop.  We will also be exploring math concepts and number sense via Eureka math and CGI. We will  be expanding our writing skills by analyzing mentor texts via Writers' Workshop. Finally, we will participate in expanding our technology skills via computer science.
